- What are your hours? 6:30 am -5:30pm. M-F. Extended hours are available at an additional cost.
- Are you licensed? If so, how long have you been? I am licensed through the Nellis AFB FCC program. I received my license to provide care Nellis in housing on 4 Feb. 09, but I have been previously Air Force Licensed since 2001 at Langley and Offutt Air Force Bases.
- How many children do you care for? I am able to care for up to 6 children at one time, with no more than 2 infants (24 months or younger). My own children count in this ratio.
- How many are full-time slots are available? How many are part-time slots are available? I prefer to have 3 Full time slots and one part-time drop in slot *as of 24 March o9, all Full-time slots will be filled.*
- What are your fees? I am currently a Subsidy Provider and your weekly fee will be based upon your income for infants - age 5 years. Part- time and Drop in rates are as follows: Part time : Infant $95, Toddler & Pre-K $75, Before and After School care $65 Drop in /Hourly : All ages $5.00 per hour
- Are you a member of the food program? Yes, I am enrolled in the USDA food program. All meals and snacks follow USDA guidelines unless there is a holiday party or special event. New Menus are posted weekly.
- What training or experience do you have? I have completed the 15 Air Force's FCC training modules and attend at least 2 hours of monthly training provided by the Nellis FCC office as well as other trainings offered through state and local agencies and internet child care sites. All providers licensed through the USAF FCC Program must complete at least 24 hours of training a year.
- Do you smoke? My home is smoke free, all guest must smoke outside.
- Do you have pets? My home is pet free, but we will be adding a large fish tank to the environment shortly, and we may on occasion have child friendly pets such as rabbits , hamsters or snakes visit us.
- What do you like most about being a provider? How long do you plan to be a provider? What do I like most about being a provider? Lots of smiles and hugs! Care-giving is the most rewarding work, it is fulfilling knowing that I can make a difference on a daily basis. I plan on being a provider as long as my body can take it!
- Can you describe what a typical day might be like for my child? We follow a daily schedule, In the mornings we begin the day early with Breakfast and Circle time followed by Curriculum based activities and outdoor play. After lunch we have quite/nap time and wake up to a snack and more outdoor time followed by some free play before parents arrive.
- Do you have infant and child cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training? Do you carry liability insurance? I am certified in Adult and Infant/Child CPR and First aid. I do carry the liability insurance
- Are children ever transported in a vehicle while in your care? If so, do you have a valid driver's license and what is your driving record? I do transport children to and from school and to field trips and on occasion to run an errand. I have a valid License and I am properly insured. I have had one accident since I have been driving caused by the other driver and have had no tickets. Parents must sign a transportation agreement upon enrollment and may be asked to provide a proper car seat for their child.
- Can parents "drop in" for a visit? I encourage parents to drop in for visits, it does disrupt the environment a little , but I do not mind, it means so much to the children to have Mommy or Daddy to stop in and see what it is they are doing all day. I do ask that you visit by before or after nap/quite time.
- What are some things you hope my child will learn here? It is my goal to prepare your child for school and socialization, but above all, I hope for the children in my care learn compassion and diversity.
