Room 2 Bloom Family Child Care Pictures

Nutritious Meals
Believe it or not kids really do eat brussel sprouts!!! I try and offer a variety of color and texture when menu planning as well as introducing new foods to the children. Breakfast begins at 7:45, AM Snack at 10:30, Lunch at 12:30 and PM Snack at 3:00. All menus are posted weekly and meet USDA guidelines. Parents are notified of any changes to the menu .

I LOVE ART. Most of our art projects will go along with our weekly themes. I will always have children's art work on display. It makes them (the children) feel special and makes the area so much prettier!

Part of the outdoor play area. This side of my yard is set up with smaller equipment for infants and toddlers. I am working on getting things set up for Pre-k and school-aged children.

Toddler/Pre-K table in the dining room where we eat our meals and do arts and crafts. It is the children's job to clean the table before and after meals and projects. They love responsiblity!

Diapering area located in the Laundry room of my home.

This is the bathroom the children will use. Toilet is hidden behind the door.

This is the main living area of my home and where children will nap and be able to watch a movie or occasional television programs. This is area is also open enough where children can dance and move about freely for large motor activities.

This is part of the main play area. This area shows a low book shelf with items the correspond with the weekly theme. In this case Valentines day. the bookshelf on the left has a variety of books for babies to school-aged children. Books are rotated often. On the shelving unit you will see more dramatic play toys such as play food, tools, hats and on the lower shelves infant toys that are in reach of crawlers.

This is another part of the main play area of Room 2 Bloom. Toys are neatly organized and easily accessible to the children. This picture shows games, puzzles, manipulative toys for building and some dramatic play toys such as cars, dolls and animals.

This is the children's cubbies. This is where the children will place their belongings in the morning and retrieve them in the afternoon. The top of the cubbie serves as the sign in/sign out area. The folders contain anecdotal records of each child in care along with work samples and enrollment information. Each child is assigned their own color upon enrollment. The binders are filled with Provider information and Parent Resources.

This is our Parent Bulletin Board. This board is located in the foyer area and displays information such as Provider Monthly Inspection, Weekly Menus, Weekly Lesson Plans, Monthly Newsletters, Fire Drill and
Emergency information. To the right of the board is a dry erase board displaying the days menu and important information. To the left is a calender.
